The development of Rescue Covering
The Telespro Rescue Covering was developed by the Department of Physiology of the University of Kuopio from 2001 to 2003. The project's goal was to develop a protective covering for casualties in emergency care. The project relied on knowledge of clothing physiology, human thermal physiology and prehospital emergency care.
The results of thermal insulation measurements shoved that the prototype of Rescue Covering had better protective properties than blanket. The study was carried out in University of Kuopio, Finland.
